These two were great together. Great post. CARL
Anything by this man is pure talent. I grew up listening to him and his songs as a kid. I was married last march and my wife and I's first song was "ten feet away".
You're not weird you're cool for loving the traditional country music from the good ol' days. What this modern world needs today is more young people like you to enjoy & appreciate listening to real country music. I work with a transport truck driver who loves the old classic country music & hates the modern pop rock country music of today.
Bravo! What grace, and what a voice; man, that high tone without any stress. TY.
Keith we love ya bud... Still playing your music. Thank you
Faron and Marty at the top of their game, really good to see this! Faron is one of the few singers who didn't get confused when singing in the presence of Marty Robbins. Marty had this way of unnerving others by staring at them relentlessly! Faron was giving as good as he got. Great song and good to see the twinkle in both those pairs of eyes!
Wish they could still be here, and as happy as they were then. Thanks for posting.
seems like i never sleep in my own bed so i understand this song so well
I agree.
He sure was one of the best country singer around . His music will live on forever.
Fantastic. Always loved Waylon's voice and guitar playing, whether he was young or old.
nanci does the the best version. the studio version is fantastic
this performance is soul shattering, Keith's early days are truly his best.
My two favorite singers. Thank you for posting it.
George Jones called Mel his borrowed angle as he wrote in his book. Great singer who left us way too soon. Thanks for posting.
Check out Bill Kirchen, he is still going. He was with Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen who revived a lot of these tunes. Bill is a dynamite picker and for proof listen his long version of Hot Rod Lincoln! He has a new tune "Get A Little Goner". Then there is Austin Texas. Take a trip there and you will find everything you want.
i was doing my radio show one sunday morning and i picked up the phone it was hugh x. lewis...what nice compliments he gave me..great guy frankie dee hershey,pa.........knfdinunzio@verizon.net

Brilliant post !! Thank you for sharing and thanks to sessnazx for sending.

Wow! Faron was one of my all time favorite singers. I am pleased to say Vic & I got to sit and chat with him during his last tour in Ontario Canada ♥♥♥
keith could sing just like carter Stanley in this song ..
They both left us way too soon. Great music by two of the greatest!
I have worked with both of these guys, when we were in our 20's, and proud to say they are my friends! Just talked to them both, Toby is feeling fine and Dewayne is recovering and sounds like he is doing better. Praise GOD! Their brother Dale, is also my friend and we too have worked together. He is a fine Bass player and is doing well too.
Great to see Del again. He toured the UK and Europe for my father in the early 60s. Stayed with the family during that time, a great guy, we had a lot of fun.
Loved Bill, He was a good friend and we played some shows together, always a pro and had fun with the people. A class act.
I remember falling asleep hearing this being played on my Mother's old record player. And, I still love it!! Thank you!!
My heart still breaks every day. I wonder when it will stop. Keith was the best and there will never be another
Too bad, money and fame gets so many of the greats!

''MR'BIG FISH1962''=SAW ''MARTY'' LIVE!!&''FARON was 1 OF THE1ST ARTISTS THAT I HEARD OVER'''A DRUG STORE MUSIC SPEAKER''!
God Bless the memory of Keith Whitley. You died too young..too soon.
I first heard Keith Whitley back in late 1988. It was a bad time for me, I just went through a divorce, lost everything and was pushed out of my sons life. I turned on the radio and heard "I'm no stranger to the rain", it was right then and there I became a fan. This song became my theme song, Yes I lost, yes I was hurting , but I would recover and I DID.
Wonderful and I was there to see the performance.
Love his hair...
One of my favorites of both Bonnie & Merle. Sure wish I could buy a copy of this. Thanks for sharing it.
1 thumbs down WOW.. looks like a couple of hearing aids needed here
